The science
Bioavailable is step one. Bioactive is the point.
How Golden Tiger is made with 100 mg of curcumin, made more soluble without pepper or oil, what the published research shows, and what is still emerging.
What is Bioactive Curcumin?
Bioactive Curcumin is curcumin, turmeric’s principal active compound, prepared with a patent-pending heat process to be more soluble in water, without black pepper or an oil carrier. Golden Tiger provides 100 mg in every can.
The problem
Not in the turmeric, but in us.
The root was never the problem. The challenge is how the human body handles curcumin.
Turmeric holds little curcumin. Only about 2 to 6 percent of turmeric by weight is curcuminoids, and that small amount sits locked inside the plant’s cells.
The body absorbs it poorly. Curcumin barely dissolves in water and is cleared quickly. In human studies, oral doses as high as 8 grams a day produced only trace levels in the blood.
Pepper and oil help, but don’t solve it. Piperine from black pepper and fats are the traditional workarounds. They improve a difficult situation; curcumin still absorbs poorly.
Our two-step process
From available to active
Step one
Bioavailable
Curcumin is freed from the root and its solubility in water raised. Peer-reviewed research found that heating curcumin in water increases its solubility roughly twelvefold, from 0.6 to 7.4 µg/mL, without degrading the compound.1
Step two
Bioactive
Golden Tiger’s proprietary, patent-pending process makes that curcumin more soluble in water. Carrier-free: no black pepper, no added oil.
Bioavailable means absorbable, able to enter the bloodstream. Bioactive Curcumin is our name for curcumin prepared with our patent-pending heat process. Published research supports the solubility step, and animal research supports improved bioavailability.2 A human absorption study of the finished drink is the next step, so we don’t claim a human absorption figure we haven’t measured.
The integrative formula
Four ingredients, each with a role
| Ingredient | Per can | What it contributes |
|---|---|---|
| Bioactive Curcumin | 100 mg | Our signature ingredient, made more soluble with a patent-pending heat process. No pepper. No oil. |
| Ginger, with naturally occurring gingerol | Present | A warm, gentle bite, and a classic partner for turmeric. |
| Vitamin C | 90 mg, 100% DV | Antioxidant support and normal immune function.* |
| Organic blue agave | Present | Light, plant-based sweetness, paired with stevia leaf to keep sugar at 4 g per can. |
These ingredients are complementary, each covering a different part of the body’s systems. We don’t claim they multiply each other’s effects.
Clinically tested
What the Golden Tiger study found
In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled pilot study, 27 adults drank Golden Tiger or a placebo twice daily for 28 days.3
- The Golden Tiger group showed greater improvement than placebo on every measure of joint comfort and function, with statistically significant differences on discomfort and symptom scores.*
- Sleep quality improved significantly in the Golden Tiger group; the placebo group showed no change.*
- The drink was well tolerated, with no serious adverse events.
Context matters: this was a single, small 28-day study, and both groups improved on some overall measures. The consistent direction of the results supports larger studies, which are the next step.
Honest by design
What the research on these ingredients shows
Curcumin has been studied across many of the body’s systems. Here is how strong that evidence is. These describe studied properties of the ingredients, not promises about this drink.
Joint comfort and mobility
Supported by multiple human meta-analyses of curcumin, and by our own study.
Exercise recovery
Human research on curcumin and muscle soreness, still maturing.
Healthy metabolism
Randomized research on metabolic markers, strongest in people at risk.
Sleep quality
A promising signal in our study; broader research is developing.
Heart and circulation
Signals for healthy blood-vessel function; still an active area of study.
Cognition, mood and longevity
Interesting, largely early or mechanistic research. Not established.

Safety, simply put
Curcumin and ginger are generally well tolerated; mild digestive effects are the most common at higher amounts. Both can affect blood clotting, and curcumin can stimulate the gallbladder. Both can influence blood sugar. Talk with your healthcare provider before drinking Golden Tiger if you take blood thinners or diabetes medication, have gallbladder disease, are preparing for surgery, or are pregnant or nursing.
100 mg per can. Two cans a day.
Each can carries 100 mg Bioactive Curcumin. The ritual follows the twice-daily schedule it was clinically tested on.
